Fundraising done by PAAPO is used to support school activities and provide enhancements to Portland Arthur Academy.


2011-2012 Fundraisers

This year we have three fundraisers planned.  Details of each will be provided as they approach, but here’s an overview:

Chinook Books – These fantastic, local coupon books will be for sale in September.  Look for more information in your back to school packet.

Wreath Sale – This exciting and festive fundraiser was so successful last year we just had to do it again! We’ll have details for you in late October or early November.

Tiger Trek – This annual jog-a-thon will be held in the spring of 2012.

A few projects we’ve supported

  • During the 2009-2010 school year PAAPO’s fundraising provided computers for the students in each classroom.
  • Money raised by PAAPO during the 2008-2009 school year paid for an in school visits by The Reptile Man and OMSI’s Science Circus, a hands-on Lego Robotics Class for every grade, a field trip for the entire school to the see the Oregon Symphony perform, a Fun Fair on the last day of school and co-sponsored an all Arthur Academy Family Night at OMSI.
  • In previous years PAAPO has paid for a cover for 1/2 of the playground, classroom items, books and book cases for the library, room air conditioners, field trips fun events for the children.
